Julien Geremie is Executive Director of the Ontario Cooperation Council. He has been responsible over the years for the support of dozens of cooperatives and social enterprises across Ontario including in the areas of agriculture, rural development, health, business succession And much more. Julien works with hundreds of partner organizations and also has an excellent knowledge of the economic environment, community, cultural and social Ontario. He was invited to present many workshops and conferences in Canada and internationally. He is also manager of the Association of Cooperative Educators (ACE and CoopZone, co-chairman of the Roundtable on Ontario's social economy, member of the Toronto Radio Cooperative board, the Assembly of the Francophonie in Ontario, cooperatives and mutuals Canada and Francophone Economic Alliance, a member of the Ontario Labor Committees on measurement social impact and community benefits, a member of government relations committees of the provincial and national cooperative movement and others. Julien was also head of a Canadian delegation at the G7 Summit in 2016 in Japan. He received in 2018 the Cooperator Award emerging cooperatives and mutuals Canada. He holds a Masters in Political Science from the University of Montreal. Julien Geremie est directeur général du Conseil de la coopération de l’Ontario. Il a été responsable au fil des années de l’accompagnement de plusieurs dizaines de coopératives et d’entreprises sociales à travers l’Ontario notamment dans les domaines de l’agriculture, du développement rural, de la santé, de la succession d’entreprises et bien plus encore. Julien travaille de concert avec une centaine d’organisations partenaires et possède en outre une excellente connaissance de l’environnement économique, communautaire, culturel et social de l’Ontario. Il est invité à présenter de nombreux ateliers et conférences au Canada et à l’international. Il est aussi gestionnaire de l’Association des éducateurs coopératifs (ACE et de CoopZone, co-président de la Table ronde sur l’économie sociale de l’Ontario, membre des conseils d’administration de la Coopérative radiophonique de Toronto, de l'Assemblée de la francophonie de l'Ontario, de Coopératives et mutuelles Canada et de l'Alliance économique francophone, membre des comités de travail de l’Ontario sur la mesure de l’impact social et les bénéfices communautaires, membre des comités de relations gouvernementales du mouvement coopératif provincial et national et autres. Julien était également chef d’une délégation canadienne lors du Sommet du G7 de 2016 au Japon. Il a reçu en 2018 le Prix du Coopérateur émergent de Coopératives et mutuelles Canada. Il est titulaire d’une maîtrise en science politique de l’Université de Montréal.
