Jean-François Parent est originaire de L’Orignal dans l’Est ontarien. Ayant fait ses études à l’Université d’Ottawa, il a obtenu en 2014 une maîtrise en géographie. Se spécialisant dans l’étude des communautés francophones en situation minoritaire et en économie sociale et coopérative, il travaille comme agent principal et responsable des opérations pour le bureau de l'Est au Conseil de la coopération de l'Ontario (CCO).

Jean-François Parent is from L’Orignal in Eastern Ontario. Having studied at the University of Ottawa, he holds a master’s degree in geography (2014). Specialized in the study of the minority language Francophone communities and in the social and cooperative economy, he works as chief agent and operations manager at the eastern office of the Conseil de la coopération de l’Ontario (CCO).
