Operational Guide for Purchasing from Social Economy EnterprisesInstitutional buyers are looking for operational tools to implement social purchasing. Over the past 10 years, ECPAR has equipped more than 50 organizations and 200 procurement and sustainable development professionals, led communities of practice that have produced more than 30 operational tools, promoted the transfer and sharing of expertise and supported the implementation of responsible purchasing practices.
The objective of the workshop is to strengthen the capacity of procurement teams in public and private institutions to use an operational guide for implementing social procurement. The workshop will be divided into two parts:
1. The content of the guide will be presented: the guide presents the key actions to be carried out at key stages of the acquisition process.
2. The procurement managers of two organizations (
City of Montréal and
Hydro-Québec) who tested the guide will explain how to implement it.
