Democracy is revolutionary! Co-operative corporations provide a proven democratic business model to harness the power of community to solve their own problems in an inclusive and sustainable way. In this workshop, you will learn how you can utilize co-ops to provide everything from affordable housing, childcare, renewable energy, food, cultural assets all the while providing good jobs and services that build strong resilient communities. The workshop topics will include: Profiles of successful co-op developments featuring the Aron Theatre Co-op, the Moonbeam Grocery Co-op and the London Brewing Co-op. Raising capital, incorporation, business conversions, sector opportunities and much more.
